The NCMA annual salary survey is a valuable tool for contracting professionals on both the government and commercial sides. For potential and current employees, the survey identifies key career elements. For supervisors, the survey compares similar jobs across the contract management spectrum. For senior managers, the survey compares in-house workers with those outside the organization and will help make fund allocation decisions.
The completed survey will aggregate pay and performance details without specific identification of respondents. That is, you will not be asked to provide personal information (name, employer, etc.) in response to any survey question. This year’s survey is scheduled for publication in December 2024.
Currently employed NCMA members at all levels are encouraged to use the following link to participate in this year’s survey:
Congratulations NCMA on the adoption of our Contract Management Standard™ by the Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP) as the foundation of a new contracting training and development system for civilian agencies! OFPP joins the Department of Defense and many companies in adopting the ANSI-approved CMS™.
NCMA worked long and hard and expended considerable resources to obtain American National Standards Institute (ANSI) approval for the CMS™ and ANSI accreditation for our Certified Professional Contract Manager™ (CPCM™), Certified Contract Management Associate (CCMA), and Certified Federal Contract Manager™ (CFCM™) certifications. The CCMA is the ANSI-accredited exam for the CMS™ and is gaining recognition as the professional certification for those entering our profession.
Adoption of the NCMA CMS™ as the foundation for all federal contract management training and development is a huge step toward a common language for practice and allows greater talent mobility across Government agencies. The entire NCMA community should be proud of their vision
and investment in a standard that has won such widespread adoption and endorsement.
Our community's next objective is to increase talent mobility between Government agencies and Industry organizations. This can be accomplished by granting credit toward FAC-C and DAWIA legislatively required certifications to those who have earned NCMA professional certifications. Contact Vice President (Education / Certification) Ashley Mann, CFCM for additional information about certification study groups.
