Are you a Regular NCMA member but your duties don't involve direct contract management responsibilities?
If so, then an Affiliate membership might be the right choice for you. Affiliate members receive almost all of the regular member benefits and are considered “fully fledged” members of their current NCMA chapter. Typical roles that benefit from Affiliate membership might include Procurement Educators, Financial Managers, IT Support Managers, and similar positions.
To learn more about the Affiliate Membership, please visit the NCMA HQ website at https://ncmahq.org/Web/Join-Wizards/Affiliate-Membership/General-Membership-Join-Wizard.aspx.
The NCMA Membership Team recently changed the “Young Professional” category to “New
Professional” and expanded eligibility to include members older than 33 years with less than five years’
contract management experience. This will be a great benefit for veterans and other who are new to our
career field. Additionally, regular members who fall into the new category will be allowed to change their
membership type to “New Professional” when they renew their NCMA membership.
For additional information, go to the NCMA HQ web site (https://ncmahq.org), click on the “Membership” tab, then select “Become a Member – Join / Renew' from the drop down menu.
The National Office has created a Membership Assistance Program to help renewing members
who have been impacted by COVID-19. Any NCMA member (regular, new professional,
student, or retired) facing hardship with paying renewal dues should reach out to NCMA’s
Member Advocate team at memberservices@ncmahq.org.
