Emotional Intelligence in the Workforce

James Trudeau is the Acting Associate Director, Shared Service Procurement Office (SSPO) and Senior Bureau Procurement Official within the Department of Commerce.  The SSPO utilizes agility and collaboration to provide department-wide lifecycle procurement solutions for a contract portfolio totaling more than $5 billion.

Prior to this position, James served as the Deputy Director, Program Management Division, Patrick Space Force Base, Florida. In this capacity, he served as the Acquisition Program Technical Director leading a team of 24 programmatic personnel overseeing $2 billion in programs. James has also worked for the First Responder Network Authority, United States Patent & Trademark Office, and Department of Veterans Affairs.

James previously served as a Captain in the United States Air Force and has deployment experience in Afghanistan. He also has private sector experience with Booz Allen Hamilton, and experience in academia as a course instructor for Villanova University.
